Alexandra Feusi is a Swiss-Polish artist whose work explores movement as a fundamental condition of perception, shaped by a practice situated across Europe and Japan. Her paintings operate between fragment and narration, body and environment, where figures appear, dissolve, and transform. Through repetition and variation, she develops serial image systems in which motifs recur in altered forms, generating unstable pictorial spaces that remain open and in flux. An almost naïve visual language serves as a method for approaching complex relationships between humans, animals, and the environment, allowing scenes to oscillate between care and threat, proximity and distance, without resolving these tensions. Feusi completed her Bachelor’s degree in Zurich before continuing her path at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, graduating with distinction. Following a lasting exchange year at Kyoto University of the Arts (2023/24), she remains active as both a visual artist and a musician, understanding painting as a continuous process of transition.
