Judith Wagner I perceive sculptures and sculptures as something very real; they make a statement – something one can listen to, something against which one can measure oneself, and they hold their ground. In the world I inhabited as a child, which I experienced as so uncertain, vague and emotionally unspoken, I could rest and listen to the stories the sculptures told me. Small works that I already modelled myself at the time, and large works that I discovered everywhere in Vienna. These experiences led me to sculpture.
