Katharina Biser
(b. 1998)
Lives and works in the Bregenzerwald and Vienna
Katharina Biser was born in Lustenau and currently maintains a studio space at the Creative Cluster in Vienna's 5th district, where she welcomes visitors. Her formal art education began in 2017 with the foundation course at the Kunstschule Liechtenstein. From 2018 to 2023, she studied painting and graphics in Linz under Ursula Hübner, graduating with a diploma before beginning her career as a freelance artist.
Her paintings and drawings revolve around the relationship between humans and nature, with a current focus on various beetles and their points of connection to us humans. Through a meticulous process of painterly dissection, she seeks to gain direct access to the specific anatomy and the distinct psychological mood inherent in these interspecies relationships.
