Time exists as a rigid metric, a strict measurement narrating the physical world through chronological precision. It subjects human experience to an unstoppable rhythm, structuring every action around efficiency and leaving no space for psychological digression.
The exhibition title The Secret Hour references a total interruption of sequential time, exploring the concept of temporal liminality. It isolates experience where normal progression pauses, moving away from standard, clock-measured routine into a private vacuum of reflection. This concept draws on the philosophical trope of the “twenty-fifth hour”—an extra, hyper-compressed interval that emerges only when daily structures and societal masks fail, forcing an immediate encounter with the self.
Rather than a vacant void, this segment becomes an intimate moment to be closely held and cherished. It functions as the illusion of a profound breakthrough in life, offering a temporary escape from external expectations. The Secret Hour serves as a vital remedy, offering a refuge where the individual is allowed to be with their own reality.
Playing on the threshold of ultimate reality and a sacred chronal escape, the exhibition questions whether life itself might be saved by the presence of an immaterial space where performance completely stops. Within this psychological retreat, rush is prohibited, demanding nothing more than to stop and inhale the very substance of the works.
